hot hamburgers

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 T minced garlic
  • 2 T onion powder
  • 2 t seasoned salt
  • frozen or homemade french fries

Mix ground beef and seasonings. Form into thin rustic shaped patties.  Cook patties in large skillet until done. Keep warm in oven while you prepare gravy.

  • 4 C beef broth
  • 5 T flour

In skillet, make up gravy with meat drippings.  Add flour 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring with a whisk, until thick and bubbly.  Add broth slowly, still whisking.  Bring to simmer and allow to thicken.  Season with salt and pepper if desired.

Serve patty on top of french fries and spoon pan gravy over the top.
