sweet and sour meatballs
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 T. dry onion
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 1 t. kosher salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 C. breadcrumbs
Sauce:
- 3/4 C. packed brown sugar
- 3 T. flour
- 1 1/2 C. water or pineapple juice
- 1/4 C. white vinegar
- 3 T. soy sauce
1. Combine meatball ingredients in bowl. Shape into 1 inch balls and place on baking sheet lined with foil and sprayed with cooking spray. Place under broiler for 5-7 minutes or until meatballs begin to brown.
2. In saucepan, whisk together sauce ingredients and bring to boil. Add meatballs and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often.
