Crock Pot Beef Stew with Potato Dumplings

Ingredients:
1 lb. chuck steak, trimmed and cut into small pieces
3 Tb. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 - 4 medium sized carrots cut in to 1/4 inch coins
1 package button mushrooms, cleaned and quartered
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. package frozen pearl onions
2 1/4 cups beef broth
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 lb. gnocchi

Directions:
Toss meat with flour, salt and pepper and place in crock pot with carrots, muschrooms, garlic, onions, broth and 1/2 tsp. thyme. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or on low for 7.

Uncover and add the rest of the thyme, the gnocchi and 1/4 tsp. additional salt. Cook 30 minutes - until gnocchi is tender.
